Therese Flaherty is the Director of the Wharton Small Business Development Center which is a part of the Sol C. Snider Entrepreneurial Research Center.  The Wharton SBDC (http://whartonsbdc.wharton.upenn.edu/) leverages the resources of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania SBDC network to serve Pennsylvania-based entrepreneurs who are starting or improving for-profit businesses.  From the Wharton SBDC entrepreneurs receive customized consultation and education to aid them in starting and building their businesses.

Dr. Flaherty has taught marketing and operations management in the Wharton School's MBA program since 1993 after a career of research and teaching at the Harvard Business School and Stanford University. She was the Director of the Global Consulting Practicum in the Wharton MBA program.  She earned her PhD from Carnegie-Mellon University and her BS from Tufts University. She is the author of Global Operations Management (McGraw-Hill).
