Hosted by PriceWaterhouseCoopers

Location: The Pyramid Cub, Philadelphia, PA
Time: 5:30 to 8:00 pm
About the Program:
Start-up and early stage ventures with business plans that require extensive
pre-profit product and/or market development costs often look beyond angels and individual investors to venture capital firms. To appreciate the investment criteria of most institutional investors in small and growing companies, it is important to understand the measures of success these funds are held to by their own investors, since virtually all venture capital firms are investing “other people’s money”. To be attractive investment vehicles themselves, venture capital firms must be able to promise and deliver a rate of return more attractive than those available in markets for publicly traded stocks and other securities. With this in mind, it is important for entrepreneurs to have a path for venture firms to eventually “cash out”, hopefully at a profit. Such exit strategies can take many forms. Our panel of experts will discuss various exit strategies and ways to “get money back to your investors.”
