Ms. Arnold has nearly two decades of private equity, financial and
operational experience. Prior to co-founding Laurel in 2007, she was a
Partner at MVP Capital Partners, which she joined in 2001. During her
tenure at MVP, she sourced numerous investment opportunities and
conducted due diligence on dozens of prospects, both platform as well as
add-on acquisitions, recruited senior executives to augment existing
management teams, and raised over $70 million in capital on behalf of
her portfolio companies. Previously, Ms. Arnold was a Director with the
Ben Franklin Technology Partners ("Ben Franklin"), a nationally-known
economic development organization providing capital and technical
assistance to seed-stage technology companies. Ms. Arnold was
responsible for a diversified portfolio of early-stage companies focused
on information services, manufacturing, and life sciences. Ben Franklin
was a client of Ms. Arnold's previous employer, Coopers & Lybrand, where
she worked in the firm's Philadelphia-based Entrepreneurial Services
practice. Her clients included venture capital funds as well as small,
family-owned and venture-backed companies. While at Coopers, Ms. Arnold
earned her CPA. She began her career in development at UCLA and
continued in that field at the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association
before moving to the east coast to attend the Wharton Graduate School of
Business.
Ms. Arnold has served on the boards of the Greater Philadelphia Venture
Group and the Northeastern Association of Small Business Investment
Companies, and currently serves on the Investment Advisory Committee at
Ben Franklin, the Advisory Board of the Sustainable Development Fund,
and the Executive Committee of the Women's Investment Network. Ms.
Arnold holds a B.A. degree from UCLA and an MBA from Wharton, where she
was a Palmer Scholar. |
