Jane Hoffer
Founder and CEO
BrainRewards

Jane Hoffer is founder and CEO of BrainRewards, a developer of online children’s educational game applications.  Founded in 2009, BrainRewards targets its applications towards elementary school age children, and provides not only an educational experience but true rewards in the form of iTunes gift cards and other valued items.  “Our goal is to be an ‘education enabler,’ and help to further their love for learning,” says Hoffer.

But Jane Hoffer is perhaps best known for her strategic role with Prescient Systems, a company formed as a result of a management buyout from Lucas-Bear.  For eight years, she served as president and CEO, evolving the company into a premier provider or retailer-centric planning solutions.   “The retail marketplace is competitive and challenging. The common thread for both retailers and suppliers is the consumer and collaboration to meet consumer needs is critical to success,” says Hoffer when explaining the inception and the success of Prescient.

In 2005, Prescient Systems merged with The viaLink Company, a public company forming Prescient Applied Intelligence (PAI).  PAI marketed web-enabled technology and software that allows business trading partners to collaborate across all elements of the retail supply chain and was honored by Consumer Goods Technology for six years in the annual Reader’s Choice Survey.  Hoffer served as President and CEO of the newly merged company until its sale in 2009.

Hoffer has been named a Woman of Distinction by the National Association of Women Business Owners, a finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award program, and Entrepreneur of the Year from the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce as well as one of the Best 50 Women in Pennsylvania and Philadelphia’s Top 40 Businesspersons Under 40.  She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, the Eastern Technology Council and AWE.

Hoffer graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a BS in Electrical Engineering.
