AWE Initiatives

As part of AWE's goal of connecting, inspiring and educating women entrepreneurs, we have created several critical initiatives.

The Iris Newman Award recognizes those who have had a major impact on women entrepreneurs in the region.  It is given each year to a woman who has demonstrated a strong commitment to helping advance entrepreneurial women. 

The Building Bridges Fellowship Program is designed to encourage and support the career paths of female students and early stage entrepreneurs by providing the opportunity for the fellows to be mentored, coached and advised by experienced WIN members who nurture their entrepreneurial aspirations.

The Annual Celebration provides a unique opportunity to network with AWE’s remarkable community of accomplished women as well as members of the greater Philadelphia entrepreneurial ecosystem.  At this event, the Iris Newman Award winner is recognized, the Building Bridges Fellows are announced, and a wonderful keynote speaker delivers a personal, inspiring and educational talk.
